Hey everyone,

If we were having coffee right now, we'd probably end up talking about one of three things: what's changing, what's working, and what's quietly breaking beneath the surface.

Every week, I try to bring together insights and practical lessons that help leaders navigate growth without getting distracted by the endless stream of noise.

Here's what's worth paying attention to this week:

What’s New?

The Fastest Path to Revenue Isn't Another Tool

A recent Seismic report found that more than half of GTM leaders consider speed to revenue their top priority. Yet despite growing investments in technology and AI, many organizations continue to struggle with disconnected systems, poor integration, and difficulty measuring business impact.

What stood out to me is the gap between AI adoption and AI confidence. While many companies are experimenting with AI tools, few have fully embedded them into their core workflows. Leaders remain concerned about output quality, ROI, security, and governance.

For founders and executives, this teaches us that growth doesn't come from adding more tools. It comes from creating alignment across teams, processes, and technology.

Let’s remember these:

  • Before investing in another platform, ask whether your existing tools are working together effectively.

  • Treat AI as a business initiative, not just a technology initiative. Define success metrics before deployment.

  • Focus on reducing friction in your revenue engine, from lead generation to customer retention.

  • Invest in enablement so customer-facing teams can execute consistently and make better decisions.

The companies that win won't necessarily be the ones with the most AI. They'll be the ones that integrate technology effectively, measure what matters, and enable their teams to move faster with confidence.

Growth, Not Noise

When Growth Expands Beyond the Product, Complexity Becomes the Strategy Risk

Meta’s recent move to invest $900M in fintech startup CRED and bring its founder Kunal Shah into a leadership role at WhatsApp signals something bigger than a personnel change. It reflects how WhatsApp is steadily evolving from a messaging platform into a broader ecosystem for payments, commerce, and digital services.

On paper, this is a logical next step. WhatsApp already sits at the center of communication and informal commerce in many markets, especially in India. Extending into payments and financial services is a natural expansion of that behavior.

But strategically, it also introduces a familiar challenge: as platforms expand their scope, execution becomes significantly harder.

Meta is now operating in a space where product simplicity, financial trust, regulatory compliance, and ecosystem integration all have to coexist. That’s a very different operating model from messaging alone.

A few lessons for founders and executives:

  • Expansion into adjacent markets is rarely limited by product capability.

  • Leadership choices matter most when complexity increases faster than structure can adapt.

  • Growth into new categories should be matched with equal investment in governance, systems, and accountability.

As companies evolve from single-purpose products into multi-layer ecosystems, the hardest challenge is not entering new markets — it is operating them well without losing what made the product successful in the first place.

Fintech Week in San Francisco Is Still Being Shaped

After NYC, we’re building the next version on the ground in the West Coast with Fintech Is Femme, Fiat Growth, and Identity Strategies.

The focus is the same, but the context is different. What should you expect?

  • A 3-day fintech gathering in San Francisco (Sept 29–Oct 1) built across multiple summits and rooms, not a single-track conference

  • A focus on where AI and fintech are converging in real systems

  • Rooms with builders shipping agentic systems, operators scaling them, and investors backing what’s already working

  • Curated tracks including Fintech Summit, Fintech Is Femme Leadership Summit, and Fintech Security Summit

Read this press release to learn more.

If you want to be part of this, now’s a great time to reach out. We’re still shaping the room and would love to connect with the right people.

That’s it for June!

Now, that’s a wrap for this month. Everything I share comes back to one simple goal: helping people build and scale in a way that feels grounded. Less noise, more clarity, better execution.

If even one idea here helps you cut through the noise, simplify what you’re building, or move a little faster with more clarity, then it’s done its job.
